The shoot pauses and I find myself watching the light change on the seamless. There's a strange peace in the stillness — not empty, but full of something I'm still learning to name. I sketch the shadows because they won't stay. Today the camera saw me thinking, and I let it.

The studio was quiet today. I sat with the cyclorama for ten minutes before we started — watched how the light moved on the white wall, made a few notes. The stylists laid out the polo and I recognized the weight of it, the way it would settle on my shoulders. There's a particular stillness before a shoot begins, when you're not yet the image but you're already inside it. I drew the key light first, then the shadow it cast. By the time we started, I had forgotten the camera was there.
